In the preface, the Author considers the juxtaposition of science and theology, a debate which was considered most important at the time. A fascinating read - to see the difference and similarities between what they knew (and dared to print) and what we know now.

Frontispiece (Reindeer engraved on bone) with tissue guard in situ (a little stained). Minor staining on title page. Pages tight and clean with very minor age discolouration and binding stitching showing in places.Page edges slightly browned with age - top darker.|
